About Tom

Tom is a

Married since 1979 to his wife Gayle, he loves running, reading, engaging scripture, studying, horseback riding, hanging out with his kids & grandkids, as well as choosing wine to go with his wife’s amazing cooking.

Tom has worked with pastors and ministry leaders for over 35 years. As the Director of Fuller Theological Seminary Arizona for 30 years (1988 to 2018), he worked to strengthen its mission of preparing people, passionate for Christ, to do effective frontline ministry in a broken world.

He is a graduate of the University of Sheffield, England (M.Phil.), Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and the University of Arizona (B.A.). Along with a great team, including Gayle (his wife,) Tom planted a church in Tempe, AZ in 2009 which planted a church in 2017. Tom and Gayle stepped down from the church at the end of February 2021.
